19 Hours Down!

Well....we left CA at about 12 noon on Tuesday. It was hard to leave, but we were excited about the trip to come! Carson had fallen asleep and so we just said lets do it! As we drove, we talked about what our plan was going to be. I said that our goal should be to drive 10 hours a day, then we would get there in about 4 days. Our first stop was Las Vegas!! My favorite city! Vegas is wonderful...and since we have never been past Cesar's Palace, I wanted to go down the strip to Circus Circus. I thought I would be cool and that Carson would like all the bright colors. But it was a little bit of a let down. Gosh it was hot in Vegas!!! We only toured the one hotel and left...Carson was sleeping again, so it was time to go! As the day went, Jamie was getting excited about seeing Glover (his friend in Billings MT). And so we thought if Carson fell asleep fine, we would just drive all night and that is just what we did. We arrived in Billings at about 12 noon (Mountain Time). It was a beautiful drive. We couldn't see Salt Lake City b/c we went threw at about 2 a.m. But I am not sure what we would of seen anyway. At about 5 I got to take over and I drove threw Yellowstone. Wow it was the best drive ever! It is so beautiful!!! Like looking in a calendar! I really enjoyed it. But now we are about to leave Billings....who knows where will stop next! I will post pics later! Sorry I can't now!
