So I have 2 totally different ones here.... And this week they were both questions. My little 3 year old can ask some difficult questions. I was not prepared for this first one at all.... I was tucking Carson in at bedtime and he asked about the baby. I am not sure exactly what he asked, but he it probably something about when the baby was going to come out. I told him that my belly has to get really big like one of my friends belly's (who just had her baby early this morning!!!!) He said, "Oh how does the baby get in your belly?" At this point I just kinda laughed.... hum, what do I tell my 3 year old. I wasn't ready to answer this question yet, I thought he would at least be like 6 or 10 or 20 before I had to answer it!!!!! At first I told him that Daddy would answer that question, cause Jamie can always come up with something funny to tell him. But Carson NEEDS an answer so, I thought about it and finally told him that "God puts the baby in Mommy's tummy." That is all he needs to know at this stage in life!!!!
The next question he asked was to Daddy. They were outside grilling out and the moon was out. Carson loves the moon and has been able to spot the moon since he was a year old. He asked Daddy, "So Daddy, people go up to the moon?" How does he know this? Or how does he even know to ask this question? I was amazed when Jamie came in and told me. Jamie told him about Lance and Buzz and said there were footprints on the moon and an American Flag. Carson was like, "Oh wow, Really?? I wanna go to the moon." So now when he sees the moon he talks about the flag up there. Guess next time we hit up the library I will be checking out some books about the moon for my future astronaut!!!
