I am not an English teacher, and have no intention on ever being one. I know that my writing skills are not the best. I really do proof read, but I am sorry if there are mistakes. This blog is for fun... like a journal for my kids. I just let all you in.... take it or leave it! Thanks for reading!

Sorry, We Were Hibernating!!!!!

I have to totally admit... Facebook has taken over the blog! It is horrible, I know! :) But I really do want to keep it up, I just feel like everyone keeps updated with me on FB and that I don't really need the blog. What do y'all think?

Anyway, Has this been a crazy winter or what???? Lots of snow, cold weather, crazy schedules and being sick, sick, sick. That sums up the past few months. We had a wonderful Christmas and Carson's 2nd Birthday! I still can't believe he is 2! It is just every time we travel, we get sick! We all go the flu in October and since then it is sinus infections, stomach bugs, fevers, long nights and Carson actually was vomiting for the fist time EVER a few weeks ago! How do you tell a 2 year old with a 103.8 fever what is going on? I could tell he was so scared! (So were Mommy and Daddy) But we got over it, and we all are healthy for now! We have been taking advantage of the nice weather and have been to the zoo twice (we got a membership this year!!!!) Taking walks at the local parks and even getting Carson's new tri-cycle out in our parking lot. Another big thing we are doing is..... Looking for a house!!!! We have decided to stay in Virgina for a little and buying a house is our best bet for that! A very exciting chapter in our life is starting now!

Jamie has been working a lot and his schedule is ALWAYS mixed up. Some weekends here and there and LONG days during the week. Which means that he comes home beat and soooo dirty from shooting. He really does LOVE his job though, can you blame the man? Shooting all day... it is like playing at work for him :) I think the coolest thing so far is that he went to Africa / Asia for a month in February! He was part of the four man security team on a big boat and they floated from Egypt threw the Somalia waters to Iraq, Dubai, and a few other countries then back!!!!! He had never been to Africa and that was a rush for him! He really enjoyed it and even rode camels out to the pyramids on his last day in Egypt!!!! I am sooooo jealous of him!

Carson is growing so fast. He is talking so much now and is finally putting sentences together. He says things like "I love you Mommy," "Daddy in there," "I found it," and my favorite during the Terrible Twos, "No, I do it." He knows all his colors, even to the point were I will tell him that the grass is red and he will look at me and say, "No Mommy, Green!!!!!!" haha! He knows most of his shapes, can count to 9 (He can't remember 10 to save his life) and he is kinda interested in letters, but he don't know any of them yet. He isn't a big singer, but he loves Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus and Big Green Tracker by Jason Aldean. haha! Still loves Curious George and the love grew stronger when they just came out with Curious George 2 the movie! It is a really cute movie! He is a huge fan of Cars and we can't wait for Cars 2 to come out. He has I think every car from the movie and I love to listen to him play with them when he don't know that I am :) His love for animals is growing and growing, which is why we got the zoo membership! He LOVES elephants and monkeys! He sleeps great and eats pretty good. The only things he don't like is carbs - rice, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese - but he loves meats, fruits and most veggies!

As for me, well I am doing pretty good. I think changing from being a military family to a civilian family was a little harder for me than Jamie! Believe that??? Or Jamie just can hide it really well!!! But I am getting it down. In December I got my wallet stolen at the mall. It has been really hard on me cause I am such a trusting person. Jamie is teaching me how to put up a little wall and stand up for myself! The girl that stole my wallet (it was stolen in the women's restroom) managed over $300 on one of credit cards. It is being takin care of, but my military ID with Mine and Jamie's social was in my wallet :( opps.... I am just hoping she took the credit cards and the cash and threw away the rest of the wallet. Anywhooooo.... I am keeping busy with playdates, storytimes, and working out (when we ain't sick). My neighbor, Jessica and I have been going strong at the our gym here and recently have been running outside. We did 3 miles the other day and it felt amazing! One of my goals is to run in a race. I'm not saying a marathon yet, but maybe one day. This Saturday we are doing a 5K for Cerebral Palsy! I am soooo excited about it! Wish us luck! Another thing is that I started babysitting last week, and I LOVE it! She is a 6 month old, sweet little girl and is just spoiling the crap outta me! She is soooo good and Carson just loves her!

Well, hope you enjoy the pics from the last few months! Sorry they are outta order, but I was having some trouble with posting them! At least they are there! :)

Hooray for pictures and updates! That Carson has the best smile! What a little charmer! I wish I could give him (and you) a big hug. It still doesn't seem like that long! I miss you.
