I am not an English teacher, and have no intention on ever being one. I know that my writing skills are not the best. I really do proof read, but I am sorry if there are mistakes. This blog is for fun... like a journal for my kids. I just let all you in.... take it or leave it! Thanks for reading!

Daycare VS. Being a Mommy

So as you all know, I worked in Daycare for like 5 years (give or take a little) so I do know quiet a bit about teaching kids. I learned so much during my years in Daycare, from crafts to how to talk at their level. There are different kinds of kids out there and so you have to approach all of them differently. All of this is so nice to have when raising my own child.... but it is the things that happen after they go home from Daycare that I have so many questions about.... and who to ask? Right now we are working on Potty Training.... Ahhhhhhh! I have so many questions! Carson is doing GREAT going on the potty! Well peeing that is, but he won't poo on the potty yet! I am not forcing it, I know it comes with time.... but, when do I put underwear on him? He pees just fine, but I really don't want him pooing in the underwear. Do I get like training pants? Maybe I should make him a "poo chart" with all new stickers! Cause the pee chart is working awesome in my house! He loves to pick out his sticker and put it on the chart! I just don't think he know the sensation yet of having to "go #2" It is like it hasn't clicked yet. He has went before on the potty, and I know I know, time will tell. I just don't know what MY next step is. Oh then.... when he like goes to bed at nap or night time, all I hear is"Mommy, Mommy, pee pee NOW" So I am like fine, and we go in there and he goes potty, GREAT! But when 10 minutes goes by and he says it again..... Then what do I do? One day he asked 3 times and all 3 times he went a little. I know it is getting out of going to bed, but I don't wanna tell him "No you can't sit on the potty!" What to do, what to do! Email me with suggestions if you wanna! Thanks!

Geez, I wonder what questions I will be posting when Carson is like 16! Scary thought! :)

I just stumbled across your blog and wanted to say a few things. My son 7 now didnt completly potty train unti he was 3. But we made everything fun. I would tell him if he gets goose bumps of feels tingly then he needs to try and go poo and my son would say he needed to fart. (I know it sounds weird) but then he would go. And he always had a harder time when he was playing stopping himself to go. We then did a reward basket. I just bough 5-10 dollars worth of toys he would like from the dollar store and put them up high in a basket and strung it from the shower rod. When he went #2 he got to pick something from the basket. Most people only go once a day so it was pretty effective. Good luck and have fun!
