Mini - Him

It is just crazy how much Carson has changed over the last year.  He is such a Daddy's Boy!  It is so sad for me, but I knew the time would come soon!  Jamie is such a wonderful Dad and they are just "Boys" together..... how can I top that?  Jamie does all the imagination play with him and I do all the teaching play with him.  We balance it out, but sometimes I wish I had the imagination Jamie has!  How does he think to do that with him? 
It isn't just about the play... Carson is a Mini - Jamie!  He looks just like him and loves the same things he does.  He is great at sports and would be outside all day every day if he could be.  And if you ask anyone where Jamie was as a kid they would say outside playing!  Even when the snow was 6 inches deep, Jamie was outside with the heel of his foot making a football field!  I hear it all the time, "He is a spitting image of his Dad."  And when I take a step back and watch Carson grow, I can see it myself!
Last night was a real wake up call to me.  Carson was helping me bring some firewood around to the back yard and I looked down and a photo came to mind immediately.... what do you think?
