I am not an English teacher, and have no intention on ever being one. I know that my writing skills are not the best. I really do proof read, but I am sorry if there are mistakes. This blog is for fun... like a journal for my kids. I just let all you in.... take it or leave it! Thanks for reading!

Boy, Don't touch that CAKE!!!!

Most of you know that I am starting to do cakes, here and there.  My Mom has taught me everything I know, and though they do not look all fantasy like cakes now-a-day, they taste awesome.  Since I love food, I go for taste over looks any day!!!!  Some people like the modern day look of cakes, some like the old fashion taste of some good icing.... it is all your preference.  But I enjoy doing them.

Anyway, I did a cake this past weekend and Jamie had to work.  So that leaves me making a cake and trying to keep a 3 year old occupied.  I do let Carson lick the spoons and spatulas, it is only fair since my Mom let me!  And my child loves my icing!!!  Everything was made, he was done testing... and it is time to put the cake together.  If you do cakes, you remember starting off that the corners are the hardest part to do.  Every time you come around the corner you take off half the icing and the cake shines right through!  Ugh!  Finally I get 2 down and working on the last two.  As I get something in the kitchen, Carson sneaks over and finger to the cake to get a taste, RIGHT ON THE CORNER!!!!!  Oh I was so mad!  "Go to timeout" I yell, "U don't touch Mommy's cakes"  He knew he was in trouble and I may have over reacted a little, but I was really upset!

After timeout, I tell him he is going outside!!!  He was great, played for an hour out there! I got the cake done and moved it to higher ground, when he came in.  I still had a plate with my bags of icing sitting on the table.  As I walk back in the room, finger comes out of mouth and he is smacking his lips.  "What did you touch" knowing that the cake was up.... I just wanted him to tell the truth.  He didn't answer me.  "Carson what did you touch"  He looked up at me with pouty blue eyes and just shook his head.  "You tell me what you touched or you sit in timeout."  Right away he says, "I wanna sit in timeout"  That shows how much I over reacted the first time!  He sat for his 3 minutes and I returned to him. "Carson tell Mommy what you touched"  "No"  "OK then you will sit in timeout until you are ready to tell me"  Well, he sure showed me..... hahahaha!

He is on his timeout chair.... fast asleep!!!  I laughed for a good 30 minutes!
