Update

Currently I am 23 weeks pregnant and have already been experiencing heartburn, indigestion and charlie horses.  I didn't realize I would get them this early!  Maybe I did with Carson.... I don't know, I just thought that with Carson my belly was bigger when I starting getting these wonderful pregnancy guarantees!  And maybe I was, I swear that my belly was bigger at this point with Carson.  For some reason, I am not gaining much weight and I am not showing as early as I did the first time around.  I know, weird.... normally you show and gain more the second time.  But you do have to keep in mind that I was induced with Carson at 36 weeks because I had high blood pressure and I believe I started retaining water early in my pregnancy.  At my last doctor appointment I was told that I need to gain at least 25 pounds and at that point I was 20 weeks and had only gained 8.  She said that I needed to gain a pound a week from that point on.  What is it with weight gain?  Why does it matter if I gain too less?  I refuse to get online and read about it.... I mean it isn't like I skip out on yummy things like potato chips, candy, cheesecake or fast food (all things that I have ate this week)  I have just been making sure I don't over eat, I exercise and try to not eat after dinner (unless it is a piece of fruit or yogurt, that I crave at night).  I gained enough weight with Carson (47 pounds but lost 22 just leaving the hospital!!!)  I would think that as long as she is as big as she needs to be and is normal weight, that it is fine.  And my last ultrasound she was roughly 11oz.... perfectly on track!  So whats the big deal?  I am just going to keep trucking along!  My next appointment is on the 31st, we shall see what the scale says.  Oh, and another thing... my belly gets really tight from time to time..... right in the middle.  I am really worried they are Braxton Hicks already!  I am going to talk to Doctor about it for sure, but I am hoping that she is just stretching out in there and pushing or something.  It is very strange!  Anyway, that is my update!  Sorry, no picture was taken this week.
